According to reports, the Niger Delta Peoples Professional Volunteer Force on Wednesday vowed to bomb the headquarters of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation if the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrests former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan.‎

The group accused the EFCC of witch-hunting Dame Jonathan, asking it to lift the No Debit Order imposed on her Skye Bank accounts.

The group in a statement by its spokesman, Parkinson George-Amabo, told the Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, that investigating Jonathan could result into “bad blood, embarrassment and possible unrest in the Niger Delta”.

“As a matter of fact, the EFCC has launched a criminal investigation of Mrs. Jonathan and in the process, frozen her bank accounts domiciled with a Nigerian commercial bank without affording her opportunity to state her own side of the matter,” the statement read.

It went further: “Nobody is above the law. The NDPPVF does not support or condone corruption. If Mrs. Jonathan was found to be corrupt, we shall not hesitate to call for her prosecution.

“We, however, have a grouse with the modus operandi of Mrs. Jonathan’s investigation, given her status as the wife of a former deputy governor, former governor, former vice-president, former acting president and finally, former president. She is perhaps, the only Nigerian woman – dead or alive – with such an impressive and fortuitous pedigree; which accounts for why the EFCC needs to thread with caution.

“Recently, there have been calls on the attorney-general of the federation as well as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest and prosecute the former First Lady for alleged money laundering.

“We shall simultaneously bomb the 4 wings of the NNPC Towers the day it is announced that MRS. PATIENCE GOODLUCK JONATHAN has been arrested by the EFCC.”

  2. Bomb NNPC and at the same time, not against prosecution if she's found culpable to the charges. What an effrontery. Go on bomb if you can and let's see what happens to your region. That her pedigree excels most women, it's true and I give that to you, result...... EFCC probe. Lol

  4. There are contradictory statements in this story. One says "we don't support corruption as long as investigation takes due course". The other says "we will bomb NNPC towers if she gets arrested". I believe that prior to arresting her EFCC must have some hard evidence standing against her.
One big question that needs to be answered is, what business did she get involved in, that yielded $15m approximately 6.18 billion naira? An acceptable explanation, not just to EFCC but the entire nation, will permanently get her out of this situation.

  5. Maka, You did not ask any question when it is about any other first family. Halliburton bribery case involving current first lady does not attract any question from you or efcc. So many things we here about Buratai, Dambazau and #500m against the president's chief of staff. Efcc should make comments about these issues so as to make people believe they are not pursuing a political agenda.

    1. @ Dule, well said!!
If supporters of the past government, his wife and their cohorts, see nothing wrong with embezzling our common wealth, they are quite unfortunate that this government does. The past government is not only a failure to Nigeria as a whole but also a disappointment to his own people. The least he would have done was to fix the road to otueke, where he built his abode, but that road is currently a disgrace to his community.
One of the wailers who propagated this story of Aisha's involvement in the Halliburton scandal has been quiet on the issue, since she returned from the USA after being dared.
You guys say its a witch hunt, selective judgment etc. The truth is that they have actually stolen and will be brought to book. The other party ruled for 16 good years and chose not to arrest anyone, thereby making the loot of public funds a lucrative business that all politicians sort after.
I guess our economic situation wont be as bad if the previous government witch-hunted their political opponents during their reign.
If the opposition ever gets back into power, I hope they start a process of witch-hunting, and hopefully someday in future "Corruption with impunity", will fizzle out of our system.

        1. Thanx lucas!!
The situation in our country needs urgent attention. Wrong deeds are quite normal to us now, and we go the extra mile to praise and remain staunch proponent of "politicians cum fraudsters".
Enough is a Enough. LET THE WITCH HUNTING BEGIN!!!

  6. Is this not an indictment on GEJ that he is actually the sponsors of NDA?

If Patience is innocent the nnobody has anything to worry about, If she is guilty all these so called 'Avengers' should realize that the money in question is meant for the future of every Nigeria not just a select few.

  7. The head of these thugs, Asari, threatened that Nigeria would get destroyed if Jonathan lost the last election, but he has fissled out since after the election
The other notorious thug, Tompolo, is in hiding and cannot do anything even after his father's death
And these criminals are now making some noise, just to be heard
They blow pipelines and run into the bush, from where they will be barking like a bull dog
They boasted many times about declaring their own republic, but always ended up cowardly backing out at the last minute
Patience will surely get the worst disgrace of her life for stealing such a colossal amount of Nigeria's money and nothing will happen, other than some cowards blowing up some pipelines and running without looking back

  8. @maka, i totally concur with your objective perspective. That is exactly my viewpoint. Let every Gov't in power witch hunt their predecessors. If this was the case all these while, I believe we would have been free of all these shenanigans.

Someone your common wealth and living large. Not a single company, factory or even philanthropic organisation set up for the upliftment of the people of the region where she comes from and yet some muntulas come out now threatening brim and Firestone. What a joke.

  9. I think the president and Efcc should tread with caution in this matter. Whatever attack on Patience is also on Former President Jonathan . Buhari was not happy when Aisha's case came up.
After all their region generated all the money Nigerians have been enjoying. She should have made money too considering the favoured position God blessed her with and also a good business woman.

The whole issue of the Halliburton case that involved the First Lady, nobody knows what's up with that, whether true or not(because everyone says fasoye is crazy), but it all died down ... People trust and believe can't be possible because she's married to Buhari(the man that's so sincere that he cant be corrupt but appointed corrupt ministers)....they said he had less than a million in his account before getting into office (that's what they tell us, all is politics) ... So if he never had so much, how much was in his wife's account(nobody asked that ).... Someone at the comments asking what the First Lady did to get the money ........ Question times 100😜.... Atleast for hers I can even understand, that people could have blessed her with financial gifts🙈(not saying shouldn't be arrested if found guilty) .but the rest nkoh, that have been roaming about all in the name of APC, appointed ministers , bailing in millions and court issues(even when its so certain that it is/ was money meant for public use ... What are they waiting for) ....
