Arsene Wenger’s side are currently sitting second in the Premier League and are still very much the mix in the FA Cup, the Champions League and in the EFL Cup.

However, after years of torment while following the north London outfit, Gunners fans are rightly hesitant in getting too excited at this early stage in the campaign.

After all, it’s only October and the dreaded month of November – yes, that time which year-on-year kills Gooners a little bit more inside – is just around the corner.

Following a significant ankle injury to summer signing Lucas Perez, which will keep the forward on the sidelines for at least six weeks, there’s a feeling of déjà vu surrounding the club.

Additional knocks to Theo Walcott, Nacho Monreal and Santi Cazorla have come at the worst time possible for Wenger heading into a busy November.

Last year, Arsenal lost 5-1 to Bayern Munich, drew with Tottenham and Norwich and lost to West Brom in a disastrous November which massively damaged their chances both domestically and in Europe.
