Arsenal’s impressive comeback from 2-0 down against Ludogorets secured their place in the final 16 of the Champions League and the Gunners join three other top sides.


Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also booked their place in the knockout stages with results on Tuesday night going their way.

PSG emulated Arsenal with a late winner against Basel when it looked like the French champions were on a the way to a draw after giving away a 76th minute equaliser.

The result means Group A is dead with the top two, Arsenal and PSG, heading into the knockout stages.

Q: Arsenal – 10pts
Q: PSG – 10 pts
Ludogorets – 1pts
Basel – 1pts

Group D winners Atletico are joined by runners up Munich after the Spanish side also secured a late win against FK Rostov with a 93rd minute Antoine Griezmann strike.

Bayern have failed to keep pace with the La Liga team, but a 2-1 win against PSV is enough to secure their passage into the next round.

Manchester City’s fantastic win against Barcelona at the Etihad keep their qualification hopes firmly alive with a win against Borussia Monchengladbach in their next group game enough to secure their place in the knockout stages.

Barcelona – 9pts
Manchester City- 7pts
Gladbach – 4pts
Celtic – 2pts

Leicester City could go through on Wednesday if they manage to pick a fourth win in a row against FC Copenhagen while Tottenham will have to wait at least another round of fixtures before discovering their fate.

CKSA Moscow – 2pts
