Santi Cazorla has claimed he could be several weeks away from making his first-team return for Arsenal.
The 31-year-old last played for the Gunners in their 6-0 defeat of Ludogorets on October 19 but was forced off in the 57th minute at the Emirates with an Achilles injury.
With Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin suffering injuries during the international break, Arsene Wenger was hoping for good news regarding Cazorla.
However, the midfielder looks to be on the sidelines for longer than first expected.
‘I still don’t know the exact time,” said the 31-year-old,’ Cazorla explained to Cadena COPE.
‘I am trying to return as soon as possible to be with the team again, but I cannot say if it will be soon, or if I still have a few weeks left.
‘I do not know, but hopefully it will be as soon as possible.’
