Former Chelsea player and manager Gianluca Vialli has been amazed by Antonio Conte’s start at the club.
Vialli has been particularly impressed by his compatriot’s ability to convince the Blues’ squad to play in his style so quickly.

The coach has switched the Londoners from a 4-3-3 system to 3-4-3 over the beginning of the season, while also picking up enough points to see them fifth in the Premier League – just three points off first placed Manchester City.
‘It is the most difficult job for the manager to convince players of that talent, that creativity, to actually work hard for the team when it’s not in possession of the ball,’ Vialli told the club’s official site.
‘You build a team and you become successful when you are defensively solid. He switched to three at the back and they look much more solid, not conceding goals. The rest comes.
‘I’m amazed by the ability of Antonio; in two or three weeks, he’s already been able to make them play the way he wants.”
‘They are still a work in progress, you can see they are not perfect, but I think that is the way to go. Antonio will get them to where they belong, which is the top of the table.’
Conte will have to hope that his players continue to improve under his methods, with games against Manchester United, Southampton, and Everton coming up in the league.
