Chelsea are reportedly readying a January transfer window bid for Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore.
The Argentine has endured a frustrating season in the French capital, falling out of favour in the tactical system deployed by new manager Unai Emery this term.
Chelsea, meanwhile, could do with more creativity in midfield after Cesc Fabregas’ move down in the pecking order since Antonio Conte took over at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Pastore has been a target for the Blues in the past, and is now emerging as a top target for Conte as he seeks to strengthen his side in the middle of the season.
They could, however, be up against some big names in the running to snap him up, with teams from Serie A and the Chinese Super League also after him, according to Get French Football News.
The 27-year-old has previously shone as a top performer for PSG, and could certainly do a job for a team like Chelsea or most other major European sides.
It is understood that PSG are now weighing up whether or not to let him leave if offers do come in this January.
