Chelsea manager Antonio Conte could have a challenging January ahead as unwanted pair Cesc Fabregas and Branislav Ivanovic may refuse transfers away from the club.
The Blues are undergoing a major rebuilding process under Conte this season, with the Italian introducing a new formation, tactics and a number of younger players into the fold at Stamford Bridge.
Fabregas and Ivanovic are two senior Chelsea stars who no longer fit into the side and are set to be made available for transfer, though reports suggest neither player is in a hurry to leave.
Chelsea want to loan out Fabregas, but interest from AC Milan has cooled in the Spanish midfielder, while Ivanovic is also keen to wait until the end of the season to decide his future, according to the Daily Star.
Chelsea are said to be willing to pay a decent chunk of Fabregas’ wages to help him out of the exit door, but it remains to be seen if they can find a suitor for the 29-year-old.
