A large estate allegedly belonging to the former Katsina State Governor, Barrister Ibrahim Shema, has been sealed up by a crack team of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
The estate located along the popular Rabah Road by Wurno Road was marked with an inscription, “EFCC Under Investigation“
The estate, a block of duplex, when visited was under heavy padlock and some men in plain cloths suspected to be EFCC operatives were seen in front of the property keeping watch.
An eyewitness said the operatives stormed the property in convoy and immediately arrested the manager who they later went away with.
They asked other staffs to vacate the premises and later went on to padlocked the two main entrance to the estate.
Another eyewitness who reside close to the estate said of no doubt the property belong to the former Katsina State Governor, Shema because during construction of the estate, the then governor was allegedly spotted on the sight giving directives.
It would be recalled that the EFCC recently stormed Kaduna and sealed up some property alleged to belong to some top military brass.
