Strong rumours have it that President Muhammadu Buhari’s son-in-law could be another big guest at the EFCC grilling room with disturbing fraud allegations hovering around him.

57-year old Yau Kumo, a former managing director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria who last weekend married Fatima Buhari, President Muhammadu Buhari’s second daughter, is under investigation for fraud, operatives of the Economic and financial Crimes commission (EFCC) said on Tuesday.

Mr. Kumo is alleged to have diverted loans and funds from the bank to fund the construction of a mega hotel in Gombe and the purchase of choice properties in Abuja.

The wedding ceremony last week was low-key as the president reportedly did not invite guests to the wedding as was expected. He reportedly claimed that as it was Fatima’s second marriage, it was not a big deal.

EFCC operatives told newsmen they are investigating several petitions against the president’ son-in-law. They did not specify when he might be taken in for interrogation.

Mr. Buhari has openly stated that should any of his relatives be involved in corrupt acts, he will not shield them.

  4. These Buhari fanatics do not read or understand the words of the report. Was it not reported months ago that Buhari's Chief Of Staff received N500,000,00.00 to get NCC slice MTN fine of over a trillion? That Buhari received EFCC report of that bribe and corruption?. What has happened to the Chief of Staff? There was no denial from the Presidency of the receipt of that report, neither EFCC denied the report to date. The man was last week confronted on the issue by Pressmen, and he said, "I don't talk to the Press."
How are you sure this will not end like that report and many more like that of Amaechi which was reported by British press while Buhari was in London. That Nigerians fantastically corrupt, and the 40Million pounds Amaechi used to sponsor PMB elections? Where did Amaechi got the Billions in Naira he used in sponsoring Buhari's election? There is report of over a Trillion fraud arising from sale of Rivers State property he Amaechi alleged to have converted to himself. Where is EFCC or DSS on those cases. Until he, Buhari's Son-in-Law is arrest and tried in Court, all these are media propaganda that leads to nothing.
