President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday reiterated his administration’s stance to adhere to the rule of law in the fight against corruption.

In a statement by the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari said the government had not mistreated those standing corruption trials in any ways, adding that the administration would continue to ensure justice and fairness to all.

He said those who abuses public trust would be made to stand justice.

The President thanked Nigerians for supporting the the policies, programmes and actions of the Federal Government aimed at improving security, revamping the economy and combating corruption.

“We should thank God this year; the report I’m getting, which is very pleasing, is that we will have bumper harvest this year.

“I want Nigerians to realise that what this government inherited after 16 years of PDP government was no savings, no infrastructure, no power, no rail, no road and no security.

“Nigerians can see what we have done to Boko Haram and what we are doing to resolve the problem in the Niger Delta,’’ he said.

  2. Ok Mr President. Lets draw a line on those 16 years. TD Jakes said something profound yesterday. We can either live in the past or the future and the one we think about most is where we are. Let ICPC and EFCC deal with the past. Time to paint the vision of the future and to run with it

  4. Na for Daura you dey respect Rule of Law? What of Dasuki in custody despite Court Orders to release him on Bail? Is obeying same not Rule of Law?
