Jose Mourinho is set to drag Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger into his latest row after the FA charged him with misconduct.
The Manchester United manager could be banned for up to three games after he was seen kicking a water bottle on the touchline in a 1-1 draw with West Ham at Old Trafford.
The Daily Star suggest Mourinho, who has a long-running rivalry with Wenger, plans to refer back to when the Gunners boss was sent to the stands at Old Trafford back in 2009.
Wenger was also given his marching orders after kicking a bottle but actually received an apology from referees’ chief Keith Hackett.
At the time, the decision to send Wenger off was deemed excessive and inappropriate and Mourinho is set to accuse the FA of double standards.
It’s the second time in a month that the Special One has been charged with misconduct following a one-match touchline ban for an altercation with Mark Clattenburg.
Mourinho looks set to remain in the stands for United’s upcoming clashes with Tottenham, Crystal Palace and West Brom.
