Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for September.
Klopp led Liverpool to three wins from as many matches last month, and he becomes the first German to win the award.
The Reds began their September with a 4-1 win over champions Leicester City at Anfield.
They then defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge 2-1 before completing the month with a 5-1 hammering of Hull City.
Klopp said on the Premier League’s official website: “I went into the office of my coaches and said, ‘We are Manager of the Month! I don’t need personal prizes but it’s nice now I have another one.’
“We are on a good way but there are so many good teams in this league and so many difficult games for us, which we have to be ready for. I’m fine with the moment, but we have to play a few more games and hopefully we perform well.”
Jordan Henderson has also won the Premier League Goal of the Month award for September for his strike in Liverpool’s win against Chelsea.
Liverpool are next in action on Monday night when they host Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
