Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger could finally seal a transfer away from the club in January, according to reports.
The 32-year-old is yet to play a game since the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager, but has still been reporting to the gym to get back to full fitness.
According to The Sun, this hard work has been enough to get the former Germany international match ready – and he could finally leave Old Trafford in the next transfer window.
Several clubs were linked with the midfielder over the summer, but he ended up staying with the Red Devils despite there being little chance of getting time in the first team.
Schweinsteiger hasn’ even been allowed to play in for the club’s youth sides, as he would take up a place that could be used to give a youngster experience.
The World Cup winner has been linked with a move to the MLS in recent weeks, although it is unknown if that is where he could end up in three months’ time.
