Manchester United reportedly have no intention of letting summer signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan make an early exit from the club in this January’s transfer window.

The Armenian playmaker has had a nightmare start at Old Trafford after being seemingly frozen out by manager Jose Mourinho, who is concerned about his suitability for the Premier League.

Mkhitaryan joined for around £26million in the summer after producing some world class form for Borussia Dortmund last season, though he has not been given the chance to show he can do the same in England.

The 27-year-old has only made four Premier League appearances so far, and three of those have come from the bench, though Squawka report that United are not planning an early sale.

Despite being made to train alone and failing to make Mourinho’s recent matchday squads, club sources believe Mkhitaryan has the potential to be a star performer for the club once he fully settles.

Still, fans have been fuming at the manager’s strange decision to continue leaving him out, particularly when the team has been crying out for a creative player like him in recent games.
