The duo are both keen to sign the Chilean and are monitoring his situation closely.

Sanchez is looking for a significant pay rise at Arsenal on his current £130,000-a-week deal.

The 27-year-old will head into the last year of his contract at the end of the season and City and Juventus believe Arsenal will sell him should they be unable to tie him to a new deal, according to The Mirror.

Talks have dragged on since August and Arsenal will fear losing him for nothing if he doesn’t agree terms soon.

The Chile international has been in fine form this season playing through the middle and Arsene Wenger will be desperate to keep hold of him.

Sanchez has already played under City boss Pep Guardiola at Barcelona and could link up with his old boss again at the Etihad.
