Manchester United have been handed a major boost as Eric Bailly is set to make an early return from his knee injury, according to reports.

The Sun claims that Jose Mourinho’s first United signing is due to return to training next week and is aiming to make his comeback against Zorya Luhansk on December 8.

The 22-year-old hasn’t featured for Mourinho’s side since he was forced off in the 4-0 defeat to Chelsea on October 23.

But United have been impressed with the speed of the centre-back’s recovery time having initially ruled him out until after Ivory Coast’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
