Goals from Pedro, Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante made it an unhappy return for the Portuguese, who was back at Stamford Bridge for the first time since he was sacked last December.

The first time that happened to Mourinho was in the 5-3 defeat to Tottenham in January 2015, and Chelsea went on to win the Premier League title that year.
