  2. Its high time the police starts to get sued and have them pay heavily for situations like this. We have read and heard of incompetent police officers killing innocent citizens over issues of bribe and when they are called upon in cases where protection of lives & properties are urgently required, they tactically chicken out.
Nigerian Judges, the police, public officials etc. all live in a universe where absolute corruption is the order of the day. How would the citizens have confidence and due respect for them?
I strongly advice that some way of trailing men of the force who commit such crime, be urgently put in place. In addition, those found wanting should be decisively dealt with, not transferring them to other states to continue their dangerous acts, or mere dismissal, which seems to be the worst they get at this point in time.
We should take a lead from the American police force, who recently released a video of an officer that killed an innocent African American. It should be noted that the police were the only ones with the recording of this event.
The Nigerian police should learn from such accountability and transparency, displayed by the American police force.
