The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the NDDCG and PNDG are led by King Diete-Spiff, the Amayanabo of Twon, Brass, and Chief Edwin Clark, an Ijaw leader, respectively.

Boroh told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt on Wednesday that the groups were also made up of reputable people from the Niger Delta region.

He expressed satisfaction with the working meeting organised by the NDDCG to bring lasting peace and development to the Niger Delta.

“I am hopeful that from the meetings that are going on, we will have the best possible options in resolving and stabilising the region.

“The outcome of this meeting will form the agenda for the proposed Niger Delta Summit next week,” he said.

According to Boroh, the inclusion of NDDCG and PNDG members in the committees would facilitate the process of evolving a blueprint for discussion with government.

“Personally, I am impressed with the groupings such as Interface with Government; Interface with Agitators; Environment, Legal and Climate Matters; and Governance and Community Matters.

“I am very sure that the outcome of the meeting will see the light of the day, concerning stabilising and bringing peace to the Niger Delta,” he said.

Boroh, who is also the Coordinator of the Federal Government Amnesty Programme, said that the bombings of pipelines in Niger Delta would end soon.

He said that the Niger Delta Summit would address whatever issues prompted the current agitation and end it.
