The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reacted to the call by 20 out of 30 political parties participating in the election for a shift in the poll date, saying it has no plan to postpone the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State.

Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, said the commission is not contemplating any shift in the date.

According to him, preparations for the Ondo governorship election started since March this year, adding that 12 out of 14 activities planned for the poll have already been executed.
