The bombastic business-mogul turned most powerful man on the planet hosted the draw for the fifth round of the 1991/92 Rumbelows Cup from his Trump Tower headquarters.

The draw in New York was featured as part of the ‘Saint and Greavsie’ show which used to air on ITV.

Before the draw got under way, Jimmy Greaves made a quip about Trump’s huge boardroom only being matched by that of then Aston Villa chairman Doug Ellis. Almost definitely clueless as to who Ellis was (and probably Aston Villa as well), Trump humoured the former Chelsea star be laughing along.

There was more 1991-era banter when Trump drew Manchester United away against Leeds. Greaves quipped: ‘Oh Donald, you don’t realise what you’ve done there!’

‘That’s a biggie, that’s the game I want to go to,’ said the future Leader of the Free World.

Once the draw was done and dusted Trump revealed his love of football.

‘I played actually in high school, I played soccer. I love it. It’s a great game.’

Norwich City were the first team Trump pulled out the hat – drawing them away against Tottenham.

To round things off the billionaire was presented with a ‘Saint and Greavsie’ mug, which we can only presume has sat proudly on Trump’s mantel piece ever since. Now he can keep the keys to the White House in it.
