He may be still out in the cold at Manchester United but that hasn’t stopped Bastian Schweinsteiger from getting behind his team-mates.
Schweinsteiger hasn’t featured for the Red Devils all season and that continued on Saturday as he was left out of the matchday squad to face perennial rivals Arsenal.
However, that didn’t halt the Germany World Cup winner from supporting the club during their mouthwatering Premier League encounter.
The midfielder has been frozen out at Old Trafford since the arrival of boss Jose Mourinho in the summer and and has been told he can leave the club in January– with at least five MLS clubs reported to be keen on the World Cup winner.
But despite his situation, he still hopes to play a part for the Red Devils.
My goal is to play for Manchester United. I give everything for that in every training session and I hope for my chance,’ said Schweinsteiger.
‘It’s going well. I train with the first team and I enjoy it a lot. When the team needs me, I am there to help.’
