Southampton are ready to launch a loan move for Daniel Sturridge and would be keen on permanently signing the Liverpool striker in a £25 million deal, according to reports.

The Daily Express claims that the Saints have been keeping tabs of the England international’s situation at Anfield and are set to make their offer in January.

Jurgen Klopp is ready to allow the 27-year-old a chance to leave Liverpool having fallen down the pecking order this season.

West Ham, Stoke City and AC Milan are also keen on the forward and are considering moves in January.

Sturridge has played just 379 minutes in the Premier League this season and has yet to score a goal.
