According to reports, the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said the state cannot access over N4 billion from the Universal Basic Education Commission in Abuja because of the diversion of N850 million by the previous administration in 2012.
Fayose said the diversion led to the suspension of the state from UBEC activities, leading to the State Universal Basic Education Board lacking resources to execute its projects.

The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on Monday said he did not re-appoint the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, as a government official during his re-election in 2012 because he did not trust him.
