    FG files charges against Justice Ademola, wife

    According to reports, the Federal Government has filed a charge against Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court.

    He has been accused of receiving gratification and an abuse of office.

    In the charge filed before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja yesterday, Justice Ademola was accused of acting with his wife, Mrs. Olabowale Toluwatope Ademola, who is the Head of Service of Lagos State.

    According to reports, the Federal Government on Wednesday shunned the National Judiciary Council and pressed ahead with its decision to bring the seven suspected corrupt judges to justice.

    The seven are among the 15 already identified by the Department of State Services and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, but the other eight are yet to be named and invited for questioning.

    Justice Ademola withdraws from Dasuki’s trial

    One of the judges recently arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS, Justice Adeniyi Ademola, of the Federal High court Abuja, has withdrawn from the trial of former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki(rtd).

    The judge announced his withdrawal from the former NSA’s trial on Tuesday before the court.

    Ademola cited allegations of corruption levelled against him by the DSS, as the reason for his withdrawal.

    A fresh twist has emerged in the N350 bribery allegation levelled against Justice Ademola Adeniyi by the Department of State Security (DSS).
