    Court adjourns Dasuki’s alleged N13.6bn fraud case till December 7

    According to reports, the trial of retired Col. Sambo Dasuki and others was adjourned till December 7 for further hearing following a concession agreed upon by all the counsels concerned.

    The trial which came up at an FCT High Court, Maitama, before Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf could not go on.

    However, all counsels had a chambers meeting with the judge and agreed on the date.

    All the defendants were in court except Dasuki.

    Justice Bilkisu Mohammed of Kaduna High Court has adjourned the case of inciting public statement against Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai by a former lecturer of Kaduna State University, KASU, Dr. John Danfulani, to November 25 for hearing.

    Ruling on the matter yesterday, the Judge asked the prosecution to produce all its witnesses on the next adjourned date in order to commence hearing on the matter which has been filed since August 29th.

    Danladi Umar, chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), on Tuesday adjourned the trial Senate President Bukola Saraki to January 11.

    Announcing the adjournment after sitting for only 30 minutes, Umar said he had “other important thing to attend to”.

    Before his announcement, Umar allowed Paul Usoro, Saraki’s counsel, to finish cross-examining Michael Wetkas, a detective of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and prosecution witness.

    An FCT High Court on Monday adjourned a former Peoples Democratic Party spokesman’s case, Olisa Metuh, till November. 22.The judge, Justice Ishaq Bello adjourned the case after the prosecuting counsel, Mr Sylvanus Tahir closed his case.

    Metuh was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on a two-count charge of destruction of evidence.
