A Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday dismissed an objection raised by an ally of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Mr. Abiodun Agbele, against the appearance of a new counsel engaged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to prosecute him on money laundering charges.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has granted Abiodun Agbele, an ally of the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, bail.
The court said it recognized the importance of presumption of innocence of an accused until proven guilty.
Agbele is to provide two sureties who must sign bail bond of N250 million each.
