    Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state has given N500,000 each to 138 families as he celebrates 365 days in office.

    The Governor promised the people of Sokoto state, that he will fulfill his campaign promises and deliver the dividends of democracy.

    The cash gifts were given to families of pilgrims from the state who died in the 2015 Hajj stampede in Saudi Arabia.

    In an application filed on February 19, 2015, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal yesterday, has asked a Federal Court, in Abuja, to dismiss the suit seeking to compel him to declare Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency seat vacant. Tambuwal is the occupant of the seat, but the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), under whose ticket he won the seat, in 2011, wants him to vacate it since he had decamped to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
