Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose’s ally, Abiodun Agbele, wired N1.35billion into three accounts to pay for four of the five duplexes the governor allegedly bought in Lagos; it was learnt yesterday.
The fifth duplex, which cost about N200million, is in Abuja.
The laundering of the cash was staggered to, detectives believe, cover up the details from the prying eyes of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

No fewer than seven houses have allegedly been purchased by Governor Ayo Fayose since he returned to power in 2014, sources close to the investigation of the Ekiti State helmsman have revealed.
And some of them, including one worth N1.2 billion in Lagos State, were said to have had their transactions handled for Fayose by his close ally, Abiodun Agbele, who is popularly called Abbey.

Abiodun Agbele, an ally of the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has been moved to Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, it has been gathered.
Agbele was moved to Abuja on Friday from the Lagos office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, where he had been detained since his arrest earlier in the week.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested Mr. Abiodun Agbele for allegedly helping Governor Ayodele Fayose to handle over N1.219bn during the Ekiti State governorship election in 2014.
