    The appeal filed by Sir Friday Nwosu against the judgment of the Federal High Court, Owerri, which cleared Ikpeazu of allegations of submission of false information and forged tax documents, will today be heard by a five man panel at the Court of Appeal, sitting in Owerri.

    The appeal which was earlier slated to be heard on December 5 and 6 was brought back to  December 2.

    It was gathered the Supreme Court on Tuesday gave order restoring jurisdiction to the Court of Appeal, Abuja, to determine all appeals arising from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), leadership dispute.

    The Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal has reversed the judgment of a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja which on October 17, 2014 banned the use of hijab in Lagos State public primary and secondary schools.

    The appellate declared in a unanimous judgment on Thursday that the ban was discriminatory against Muslim pupils in the state.
