    Aviation workers halt Bristow Helicopters operations in three major cities

    Aviation workers staged a protest march yesterday that grounded operations of Bristow Helicopters, a private helicopter transport firm in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Eket.

    The employees, under the aegis of National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE), barricaded offices of the airline in the three cities in protest of welfare and alleged plan to sack more workers.

    Arik Air on Wednesday announced reduction of flights due to the lingering scarcity of JET A1.

    With only one month to go in 2017, only 43 per cent of the aviation budget for the year has been released, an official said.
