    NCC confiscates broadcast equipment worth millions of Naira in Onitsha

    It was gathered that the Nigerian Copyright Commission has impounded illegal broadcast equipment worth more than N20 million in Onitsha, the commercial city of Anambra.

    Addressing newsmen after the raid on Thursday, its Director of Enforcement, Mr Augustine Amodu, said the confiscated items included cables, 150 decoders, network boosters, channel splitters and other rebroadcast machines.

    Amodu said that the commission embarked on the raid after a series of enlightenment to persuade people against piracy.

    Popular broadcast journalist, Surajudeen Taiwo Salami famously known as Olalomi Ejire has died. He died on Friday September 2nd at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos after a brief illness. He was 54 years old.     Boko Haram Opens Radio Station to Broadcast Propaganda Messages

    The dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram that has killed thousands of innocent Nigerians now has a radio station.

    Boko Haram has opened a radio FM station to broadcast propaganda messages, reports the Hausa service of Voice of America.
