    Senate President Bukola Saraki has expressed faith that the 2017 budget will be passed sooner than the 2016 budget was, and without any drama.

    Lagos Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has tendered a budget proposal of N812.998 billion to the Lagos State House of Assembly for the 2017 fiscal year.

    Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State will on Tuesday, Nov.29, present the 2017 budget to the Lagos State House of Assembly(LAHA) for approval.

    Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun presents N221.1 billion budget for 2017

    Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun yesterday presented to the House of Assembly an Appropriation Bill of N221.129 billion for 2017.

    Reading the “Budget of Repositioning” before the 26 lawmakers, Amosun said salary and wages would take N62.73 billion, and pension and gratuities N73.93 billion.

    According to the governor, the budget proposal increased by 10.5 per cent compared to this year’s N200.200 billion.

    With only one month to go in 2017, only 43 per cent of the aviation budget for the year has been released, an official said.

    The Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, said this on Thursday in Abuja when the Senate Committee on Aviation visited the ministry on oversight function.
