Ecobank Nigeria Limited has asked the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, to re-assign a suit filed against it by Honeywell Flour Mills Plc and its sister companies – Anchorage Leisures Limited and Silaom Global Services Limited – to another judge.

According to reports, the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, Justice Suleiman Dikko, has granted pardon to 23 awaiting trial inmates in Laifa, Wamba, Keffi and Nasarawa prisons.
Dikko gave the figure on Friday at the Nasarawa Prisons, Nasarawa Local Government Area, while briefing newsmen at the end of his four-day tour of prison formations across the state.
Dikko said that out of the 23, nine were from Lafia Prison, two from Wamba Prison, eight from Keffi Prison and four from Nasarawa Prison.

Adamawa Chief Judge, Justice Ishaya Banu, on Thursday, released 85 awaiting trial inmates in Jimeta Prison in Yola.
Banu, who released the suspects during a jail delivery at the prison, also granted conditional bail to 33 others.

The Federal High Court, Abuja, has returned the case file of Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, to the Chief Judge for reassignment.
