According to reports, the Lagos State House of Assembly on Tuesday ordered the Director-General, Lagos State Safety Commission Hakeem Dickson, to vacate office until given approval by the House.
The order followed an observation by the Chairman, House Committee on Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Olusola Shokunle, that Dickson was occupying the position without the approval of the House.
Shokunle told the House that Dickson had not been given approved at any time by the Assembly.

According to reports, the suspended recruitment of 10,000 personnel into the police force would soon commence, Chairman, Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Senator Abu Ibrahim, said Monday.
The targeted recruitment was put on hold following disagreement between the Senate and the Police Service Commission (PSC) over the modus operandi of the recruitment.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday said it has interrogated 11 employees of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over N120million poll bribery sum allegedly received from some politicians during the 2015 general election.
