THE convoy of the Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode yesterday saved several motorists from being robbed by armed robbers, who struck at the popular Long Bridge on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The incident which happened last Thursday at 8 pm was said to have been perpetrated by the robbers, who were dressed in Police uniform.
An eyewitness told Adelove News that the bandits had blocked the expressway forcing motorists to a halt in an attempt to carry out their act.

There was pandemonium yesterday in Bauchi as hundreds of suspected political thugs attacked the convoy of Governor Mohammed Abubakar after leaving the Bauchi Eid prayer ground along Bakaro road in Bauchi metropolis.
The thugs damaged the vehicle conveying the government house press centre, destroying the back screen beyond repairs.
The development, it was learned, caused a stir as the driver of the government press vehicle tried to escape to save the situation while other vehicles diverted direction, for safety.

Some Fulani herdsmen and their cattle obstructed the convoy of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State at Amakohia Orlu Road in Owerri the state capital this afternoon for up to 30 minutes.
