    Mallam Adamu Adamu, Minister of education, has stated that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari will not relent in using every instrument available to totally extricate corruption in Nigeria.

    Reps prescribes 20 year jail term for corrupt politicians

    According to reports, the House of Representatives is working on the amendment of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Act to prescribe 20-year jail term for any politically exposed person (PEP) and those working in the private sector convicted of economic and financial crimes.

    The amendment bill to the EFCC Act, 2004 sponsored by Hon. Bassey Ewa (PDP Cross Rivers), is also seeking the creation of special economic and financial courts.

    Group canvasses 20-year ban for corrupt politicians

    According to reports, a group, Reality Forum of Oyo State, has asked the Federal Government to impose a 20-year ban on any politicians found guilty of corruption.

    While commending President Muhammadu Buhari for his anti-graft war, however, maintained that there should be punitive measures, indicating a sharp departure from the past.
