    Curfew relaxed after herdsmen kill over 40 in Kaduna

    Authorities of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State have relaxed Sunday’s 24-hour curfew imposed in Kafanchan following rising tension in the area.

    The 24-four hour curfew followed tension and attacks witnessed in Godogodo Area that led to the killing of scores and destruction of property.

    No fewer than 40 persons have been confirmed dead in the attack by herdsmen.

    Kaduna imposes curfew in Kafanchan as 20 die in herdsmen attack

    A 24-hour curfew has been imposed in Kafanchan, Kaduna State after youths set up road blocks and burnt vehicles on Kafanchan-Kagoro road, in retaliation of an attack on Saturday in which 20 people died in Godogodo Chiefdom.

    Curfew in Maiduguri now from 5pm to 8am

    It was gathered that the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army on Saturday said it had relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on Maiduguri from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. daily.

    The Spokesman of the Division, Col. Tukur Gusau, made this known in a statement in Maiduguri.
