The Niger State Government may have defied threats by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) of an industrial action should the government go ahead with the 50 per cent reduction of civil servants’ salary in the state.

Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor has challenged his predecessor, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, to a public debate on the logic, financial cost and social value of the monorail project along Azikiwe Road in Port Harcourt.
