According to reports, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), yesterday, sealed off properties belonging to Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi in Abakaliki and other parts of the state.
It was gathered that EFCC’s action might be connected to an alleged diversion of N400 million arms deal into private pockets during the 2015 presidential election.

Former Spokesman to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, Reuben Abati has informed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, that he has no money to refund to the government.
Abati who was recently arrested by the anti-graft agency for allegedly receiving the sum of N50m from former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki(rtd) was quoted by newsmen as telling interrogators that he had no immediate means of sourcing the amount for which he is being held in custody for.

The Federal High Court, Abuja, has admitted Gbenga Obadina, the Managing Director of Almond Properties Ltd., to bail in the sum of N500 million.
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba said that he should produce two sureties in the sum of N250 million each.
The EFCC arraigned Obadina on Friday for receiving over N2.4 billion from former National Security Adviser, retired Col. Sambo Dasuki, for electricity contracts that were never executed.
