Former Senate President, David Mark has been decorated by current Senate president, Bukola Saraki, with the leader of the Decade award.
This was announced during a National Assembly Press Corps Award in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital.
Mark is a retired Nigerian Army Brigadier General and politician who was President of the Senate of Nigeria from 2007 to 2015 and is the Senator for the Benue State constituency. He is a member of the People’s Democratic Party

The re-run Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Makurdi, Benue State capital, yesterday struck out the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Daniel Onjeh, against former Senate President, David Mark.

Former president of the Senate, Senator David Mark, yesterday marked his 68th birthday with the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Agatu local government area of Benue State, rendered homeless following the massacre that left hundreds of people dead in the community.
