A former lecturer of Kaduna State University who is on trial for alleged hate speech, has been released from prison.
John Danfulani, first arrested in January, was remanded in prisons two weeks ago by a High Court in Kaduna, the Kaduna State capital.

Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose on Thursday released nine cows ‘arrested’ and ‘detained’ in some parts of the state for contravening the Prohibition of Cattle and Other Ruminants Grazing Law back to their owners.
The cows were seized by the operatives of Ekiti Grazing Enforcement Marshals (EGEM) recently inaugurated to crack down on grazing outside hours allowed by law and in unauthorised places.

Turkish ambassador to Nigeria, Hakan Cakil, yesterday cleared the air on the reported detention of 50 Nigerian students by the country’s authorities, since the July 15 failed coup.
He said that there is no foreign student either from Nigeria or elsewhere that is held by Turkish authorities at the moment.

According to reports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday said it was determined to ensure cases of Nigerian students experiencing different forms of maltreatment in Turkey and elsewhere are urgently addressed.

The victim, first out of five children of Mr. Daniel Kokorifa, an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps, was shot dead in a mysterious circumstance by the police anti-vice/anti-kidnapping team along Airforce Road in Yenagoa, on August 18, 2016.
