    PIB: Saraki directs Senate c’ttee to submit bill on host communities’ issues within 4 weeks

    Senate President, Bukola Saraki, yesterday, instructed the Senate Committee on Petroleum, Upstream, led by Senator Tayo Alaosoadura, to prepare and submit the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, which deals solely on the issues of host communities and fiscal considerations.

    The development came as the Senate passed the first batch of the PIB, sponsored by Senator Alaosoadura, who represents Ondo Central senatorial district.

    Buhari directs EFCC to release N10b recovered fund to NBC

    President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to release the N10 billion recovered loot to the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

    According to reports, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Thursday directed all banks and authorised forex dealers to sell dollars to pilgrims going for the 2016 Hajj at a concessionary exchange rate of N197 to the US dollar.
