    We will start prosecuting drivers who don’t have new tint permit -Ebony Police Command

    The Ebonyi Police Command has said it will start impounding and prosecuting drivers who have not obtained the newly approved permit for vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses .

    The commands Public Relations Officer, George Okafor, told the newsmen in Abakaliki on Monday that the new permit, designed with unique security features, will prevent hoodlums from using such vehicles for crimes.

    According to him, the new permit contains bio data of the car owner which include the photograph, finger prints, name and date of birth, among others.

    According to reports, the FRSC on Saturday urged commercial drivers to plan their journeys ahead and refrain from embarking on night journeys to avoid accidents.

    Thirty six drivers in Abuja have been subjected to psychiatric evaluation for beating traffic lights in the Federal Capital Territory.
