Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), a factionalised militant group, has issued conditions under which it can enter into negotiations with the federal government.
The Avengers on Saturday, through Mudoch Agbinibo, its spokesperson, indicated its readiness to dialogue through a negotiation team led by Edwin Clark, prominent Niger Delta leader.

Foremost Ijaw leader and a former federal information commissioner, Chief Edwin Clark, on Tuesday revealed reasons why he sold his houses located in choice areas across the country to fund a private university at his country home of Kiagbodo, Burutu Council Area of Delta State.
The Niger Delta leader said the decision was to guard against infighting among his children over the sharing of his property after his death, as it has been among children of prominent Nigerians in the past.
Edwin Clark, prominent Ijaw leader, says any dialogue between the federal government and militants in the Niger Delta region would not yield result without the involvement of Ijaw elders.
Clark said this in Warri on Saturday during a consultative council meeting, which had in attendance Seriake Dickson, Bayelsa governor, and Kingsley Otuaro, Delta deputy governor.
The meeting was aimed at reaching common ground on the renewed militancy and its impact in the Niger Delta and Nigeria.

Chief Edwin Clark has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari’s on-going anti-corruption fight saying that former President Goodluck Jonathan lacked the political will to fight corruption during his reign.
