The Federal Government yesterday announced that it had discovered N450 billion unremitted funds to the Federation Accounts, following an audit of revenue-yielding agencies, and had subsequently called in the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate agencies for not remitting funds, as stipulated by law.
Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, Nigeria’s Finance Minister, specifically accused 33 agencies of not remitting operating surpluses from 2010 to 2015.

Hundreds of Igbo youths carrying placards and banners have taken to the streets of Enugu, protesting the on-going probe of former Nigeria First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan by anti-graft bodies.
The youths see the probe, which had culminated into the freezing of her (Mrs. Jonathan) account, as a calculated plot to humiliate ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
