    Without restructuring, Nigeria won’t make progress – Ekwueme, Adebanjo

    His incarceration in 1984 at Kirikiri prisons following the military coup which aborted the second republic gave him time to think about Nigeria. It was a blessing in disguise as he came out of prison with the idea of six geo-political zonal structures, which he canvassed in the 1994 constitutional conference.
