According to reports, the federal government has accused a Supreme Court justice, Sylvester Nguta, of culpability in the destruction of evidence intended to be brought against him.

According to reports, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, revealed, yesterday, that the National Judicial Commission, NJC, asked judges facing allegations of corruption to step down because it was confronted with proof of evidence against some of them.
The judges were arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, between October 7 and 8, following which the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, and some senior lawyers asked the judges to stop presiding over cases, pending their trial.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, has opened up on reasons why members of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) and appointees of his boss have not been tried for alleged corruption.

The latest review of Hillary Clinton’s emails by the FBI has found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing, says FBI director James Comey.
Mr Comey told Congress on Sunday that, having completed the review, the bureau had not changed the conclusion it came to in July.

According to reports, the Senate Committee on Public Accounts, yesterday, directed authorities of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, to submit all approval evidences for 1,691 contracts it awarded within seven days for verification.

President Muhammadu Buhari biographer, Prof. John Paden, has claimed that Buhari has incriminating evidence he can use to put his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan in jail for corruption but has chosen not to.
