    Akwa Ibom demands refund of N140bn spent of federal roads

    According to reports, the Akwa Ibom Government has renewed its appeal to the Federal Government to refund the N140 billion it had spent on repair of federal roads in the state.

    The State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, renewed the appeal on Friday while speaking to Government House Correspondents at Ibom International Airport on arrival from official assignment in Abuja.

    Nigeria spends N73 billion on federal roads in 2016 – Fashola

    The Federal Government has so far spent N73 billion on road projects across the country.

    Babatunde Fashola, the Minister for Power, Works and Housing, disclosed this on Thursday in Katsina at the 22nd National Council of Works meeting.

    The meeting has “Prioritisation and Optimisation of Allocated Road Infrastructure Funds” as its theme.
