    Filling Stations Hoard Fuel Over Price Hike Speculation

    Some petrol stations in parts of Lagos metropolis have stopped selling petroleum products to motorists following speculation of possible upward pump price review.

    Many of the stations belonging to major marketers on Ikorodu road from mainland up to the Island were virtually empty yesterday, even as attendants could not offer any explanation on inquiry.

    Ogun State to demolish 220 structures, filling stations, others

    The Ogun State government has said that no fewer than 220 illegal structures, 41 abandoned trucks and many filling stations will be affected in its “Ogun Go Green” project.

    Amosun said the project was aimed at developing 25 of the 70 meters setback on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

    He called on landlords and other stakeholders along the ever busy expressway to support the initiative to make it a success.

    In the wake of the recent price hike of petroleum products in the country, the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA ) has directed that the NNPC filling stations are to sell fuel for lower than the N145 recommended price.

    The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Sokoto Zonal Operations Office, Wednesday sealed six petrol filling stations in the Sokoto metropolis.

    The Head Retail Outlets and Marketing, Mr. Nura Kamba, made the disclosure yesterday, shortly after an enforcement exercise of the government approved pump prices of petroleum products in the state.
